Be My Candy Girl

Chinese Society has brought us another awesome night, the Snow Candy event was a blast! People remained until the end, not like you could jump off the boat if you wanted to leave, and even demanded one last song before they were willing to leave. Not as great as the first one because there were no expectations for the first one. Nothing beats a first. But none the less, this one was no disappointment.

New Girl Crush: Sunhwa

Had a dinner with friends at a really fancy Italian restaurant. Haven't seen this particular friend since graduation, and now she's off to Europe for a whole year. Will miss her...

Met Gala

For now I am.
For three weeks I will be.
And then end of semester exams. Sorry, will be MIA again after 3 weeks.

Just had my oral test for organisational behaviour (management) which was a 4 minute test about anythingggg from the 700 page book. I've been slacking one week before... or more like focusing on other more important assessments... and began cramming it in the last 7 days. It's was 7 days of imprisonment, physical and psychological imprisonment. I haven't shopped for ages and I have saved up quite a lot from this. So I intend on spending it big in a few days, when I can find a friend to join me.

But since I'm back, I need to join in the Met Gala discussions. I know I'm late so I won't be talking about what's already been talked about. Here's the dresses that caught my eye!

I am absolutely in love with this dress! Nothing beats it! Nothing. The great choice in colour, details in structure, material. EVERYTHING is perfect, perfect to create a statement at the Met Gala.

Pastel Blue Jeans

Last time I went back to China I visited my family friend's jean factory and received a massive, no exaggeration, pile of jeans to take home with me. Because they were for free and I was considered helping them to get rid of stock they no longer wanted to lie around in their warehouse, I even took a pair of pastel blue jeans. I've never worn anything of that colour but it interested me to find out how people pull out a look with pastel blue jeans. Here's the inspiration:

I love this look, it is so sophisticated by playing with minimalism. small touches bring this look to life. The shirt, though plain it shows movement. With the simple look it is matched with thin strapped heels to not overwhelm the outfit and make it appear too simple from the contrast. Add a red lip for a burst of colour and a clutch and gold watch(or bracelet) to add enhance the sophistication.

What do you do when it all falls apart?

Only time can heal this now.

Building trust towards someone again is hard, very hard. Trust is a fragile thing but what is worse is that men don't seem to know how fragile it really is. Breaking it and breaking it again. Senseless selfish being. It hurts, they know we are hurting, but they don't know why we are hurting. Men can be so confused sometimes. Not because we are complicated, but because they simplify things too much sometimes. They see something is wrong but they don't make the effort to find out why something is wrong. Rather they want to run from it, cowards, hide it, cover it up. Finally they admit they were wrong but they think admitting is the end of it. It's not. He must own up to his mistakes: Done. Face it head on. Understand why it is a mistake and let those around him know that he knows, reassure them. Don't run. That won't help. Face it. Men are suppose to be brave, but when it comes to when relationships fall apart, they are the most cowardly of all. The tiger turns into a mouse. Only way to regain this trust is through time. Through actions. Running is not a good action.

But sometimes one small action of disloyalty causes all the hard work to crumble below ground level. Why is he so stupid? Again and again. He is so smart in so many different ways but his ability to understand those around him is so poor, almost laughable. Here we are trying to to build it up again and he doesn't seem to want to help. Standing aside just ignoring the fact that he has caused something to fall apart but then comes along, ignorantly, and tears it down. He may not have wanted to tear it down, but he did. Ignorance and blaming is not an answer.

The sky is so clouded these days, the storm is over but the clouds remain. Will it ever clear? And when it does, will it be the same again? Will we all be here still? Or will one of us be carried away with the wind and the clouds?

Only time can tell.
